A top player in the Oil & Gas Industry, is looking for key candidates to join their company for the following below positions.

Work Scope

  • Perform technical tasks assigned by the Project Structural Lead such as structural analyses, calculations, design, verification or study activities
  • Interface with other Project Specialists and Designers
  • Co-ordinate and review technical activities performed inside or outside Company
  • The Engineer executes the activities within the area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements
  • Review Client technical documentation and requirements
  • Contribute in defining structural design premises
  • Contribute to the writing of the Project Structural Design Brief (roadmap of all the structural design and analyses work on the project)
  • Liaise with other Project Specialists and Designers whenever required for a proper completion of the work assigned
  • Design structural systems and components, pursuing objectives of sound engineering and design optimization in term of costs, fabrication simplicity, constructability and safety
  • Carry out/Check/Supervise structural analyses
  • Supervise/Approve steel structures design drawings
  • Supervise setting up of bill of quantities or material take off (MTO)
  • Prepare, when required, specifications for structural fabrications and all related items such as bearing systems, bolts, cladding, grating, etc.
  • Verify structural strength or dynamic behaviour of items designed by others (piping support Specialists, Vendors, technical building Suppliers, etc.)
  • Apply the Quality Control Procedure of the Offshore Structural Department during the work assigned
  • Perform field engineering activities
  • Write design reports and calculation notes

Requirements

  • 5-10 years overall T&I structural analyses experience, with minimum 3-5 years in the projects involving offshore transportation and installation of platform structures (jackets, topsides, pipelines), including pile drive-ability analysis and barge verification and/or modification
  • Knowledge of analysis tools SACS, StaadPro (2D and 3D modelling)
  • Knowledge of analysis tools GRLWeap (2D and 3D modelling)
  • Knowledge of drafting tools AutoCAD (2D and 3D modelling)
  • Capability to derive the SRD based on Geotechnical input and analyse suitability of the hammer for offshore pile/conductor and to identify potential risks such as premature refusal and pile run-down. Capability to analyse workability of the pile in terms structural response to the pile and recommend suitable environmental limitation or alternative mitigation actions. (Recommendation of offshore hammers for pile and conductor drive-ability)
  • Capability to design sea-fastenings and grillages in accordance with internal standard and codes, both in allowable stress design or LRFD. Knowledge of motion analysis and correct implement the offshore motion forces derived from naval motion output. Capability to define sea-state limitation for offshore convoy and installation campaign. (Offshore Transportation & Installation)
  • Capability to design all offshore installation aids in accordance with project installation requirement. Provide technical solutions to facilitate transportation and installation activities. To identify potential risk and necessary strengthening requirement during Bidding phase and project executional phase. In cases where LSF is required, design shall be carried out to suit load out, transportation and installation. (Temporary Installation Aids)

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or other applicable discipline from accredited university.
